When we were tasked with repairing this beloved edition of works by William Shakespeare by the wonderful Clara Durodie, our fine binding team went to work exhibiting skills and craft that the great man himself would have been impressed by.
This title came to us very worn and battered, so the first task was to get our creative team to recreate the spine artwork. From there, our artisans restored the book in loving detail - producing new leather corners, hand-sewing new headbands, and re-backing with new leather to replace the damaged original.
